The most recent 'Ericsson Mobility Report' predicts that monthly smartphone data traffic in the nation would increase from 25 GB in 2022 to about 54 GB in 2028.
Forecasts put the share of Indians who have signed up for smartphones as a share of all mobile subscribers at 94% in 2028, up from 77% this year. According to the report, the highest number of Indian 4G subscriber would be reached in 2024, at roughly 930 million, and will then gradually decrease to an anticipated 570 million by the year 2028.
